Hello, I’m Paquito.

I’m 9 years old and I want to tell you
what I think about this world and
about politics and economics.

I’m still young but I have travelled a lot.
Not in real life, but in my dreams.

I have a special friend, called Peace.
He has taken me to many places
and shown me the world through his eyes.
We have seen how beautiful it can be:
people sharing love and friendship
and helping other people to be happy.
Nature in all its colours, sounds and scents.

Yet, Peace has shown me the other side too:
conflicts, wars and other types of violence.
Children without food or a home.
Innocent people massacred or maimed.
Nature being mistreated and neglected.

I have come to know Peace so well.
He is the most wonderful friend you could have.

He teaches you what is important in life.
Not the colour of your skin.
Not your political or economic preferences.
Not the religion you belong to.

Once you know him well, you can see clearly
the reasons behind all the violence in this world.
The lust for power and the addiction to money.

He teaches us real values.
The value of love, friendship and respect.
Respect for people.
Respect for Nature.

Having Peace as your friend makes
you see that real power is not money
or dominating other people or even Nature.

Real power is sharing peace, love and friendship.
It is inspiring other people to work together
and to build a better world for all:
a world where Peace is the friend of everyone.
Where the colour of your skin,
your political or economic preferences
or the religion you belong to,
do not matter or cause conflicts and worse.

What does matter is the belief
in the goodness inside you and all people.
Goodness that can only be brought out
when Peace or human values are the guide.

My dream it is, that our leaders
and all of you will meet Peace too
and that you will do all that you can
to make this world a better place indeed.

Having Peace as your common friend,
will help all of you to understand each other
and to see that you have a common goal:

Building a better and just world for all.
Bringing peace and humanity everywhere.
